Abstract

This work aims to analyze the delusion, false judgments that have a pathological origin (JASPERS, 1910), through its discursive manifestation, materialized in the form of utterances or narratives. Thus, we will present this work through theoretical discussions and analysis of data obtained by interviewing a subject diagnosed with schizophrenia, which illustrates the delusional discourse. The research of qualitative nature (DAMICO, 1999) is subsidized by the microgenetic paradigm of analysis (GÓES, 2000). The results show that the delusional discourse is constituted as a phenomenon that alters the relationship that the subject establishes among signs, their senses, and references, which creates a violation of semantic and pragmatic principles, and makes this speech something considered bizarre and implausible or, as we refer to in the work, causes in the interlocutor the strangeness effect (GATI, 2017).
