Abstract

This study aims at analysing deviations from the standard pattern present in written texts and compare them with a common phenomenon in rural speech in order to shed a light
on the subject and to provide subsidies for Portuguese language teacher in the treatment of such language occurrences. For this purpose, we analyzed data from three different corpora:
nineteenth century manuscripts, texts of students from a school in Cambe-PR, and data from Paiquerê-PR in the countryside. By crossing the data, we intend to better understand the language in its synchronic and diachronic aspects.
