Looking for an enunciative identity of the adjunct adverbial site

Abstract

In this paper, my main objective is to delimitate the identity of the adverbial adjunct site within an approach called enunciative-based syntax that looks at the language’s syntactic facts through an interface between enunciation and linguistic materiality. I propose that the sentence is traversed by two enunciative axes, which I call the enunciative plan itself and the speaker incidence enunciative plan. In the configuration of the adverbial adjunct site, the letter enunciative plan seems to act prominently in relation with the thematic-referential domain of the sentence. Considering this configuration, I established a continuum, where adverbial units of enunciative prominence are placed on one side, adverbial units that look like hybrids on an intermediary zone and adverbial units of thematical-reference domain prominence are placed on the other edge.
