Abstract

This study explores the initial writing in texts produced within the Programa para Educação de Jovens e Adultos (PEJA-UNESP/Assis). Its objective is to describe and analyze, both quantitatively and qualitatively, linguistic markers that characterize the constitutively heterogeneous nature of writing (Corrêa, 1997), under the hypothesis that the recognition of these markers shows a less obvious realization of language in writing. The theoretical framework assumes the simultaneous influence of multiple oral and literacy practices on the subject, proposing connections with the concept of Discursive Tradition (DT) (Kabatek, 2005). The findings support the idea that oral discursive practices, embedded in DTs circulating in spoken forms, show the relationship between the subject and their written text. However, the results also highlight the need to consider literacy DTs in writing happenings.
