The paper now presented aims to investigate the relations established by clauses and phrases initiated by the structure além de [aside from in Portuguese]. Therefore, it assumes as theoretical apparatus the Functional Discourse Grammar (HENGEVELD; MACKENZIE, 2008), in order to analyze occurrences of spoken language, extracted from the "Português oral" [oral Portuguese] corpus, organized by the Center of Linguistics of the University of Lisbon, in partnership with the University of Toulouse-le-Mirail and the University of Provence-Aix-Marseille.Downloads
