The use of clitics in handwritten documents from the Province of São Paulo of the eighteenth century – An annalysis on the clitic lhe

Abstract

This paper presents a proposal to analyse the clitic lhe in manuscript documents of the late eighteenth century, between the years 1765 and 1775, from the government of Morgado de Mateus in the province of São Paulo. All these documents, originally loose, are in a manuscript book numbered as 170 in the Arquivo Histórico do Estado São Paulo (AHESP). In order to contribute to linguistic and philological studies, a semi-diplomatic and justalinear transcription of these documents was used.
