Abstract

This article focuses on the syncretic nature of the comitative category and on the search for a conceptualist characterization of some constructions related to it. Some grammatical constructions are presented in African languages by observing the particularity of those languages in order to propose that the Reference Point Analysis, in the Cognitive Grammar framework, would be the common conceptualist base of all constructions related to the conceptual domain of comitative.
