Sisterhood in cyberspace: feminist ties in militancy

This work, from the theoretical perspective of French Discourse Analysis, aims at analyzing the fanzine called Reajá, produced by the collective of The SlutWalk from Campinas. We attempt to understand how a saying about women and about their relationships with other women gathers signifi cance in society and starts circulating in cyberspace. By analyzing how the notion of “sisterhood” gathers signifi cance in the fanzine, we refl ect upon how the feminist ties are designed and circulate in contemporary society and on the network, seeking to break with sayings already engraved in the memory of society about what it means and what it idoes not to mean to be a woman. Moreover, we intend to refl ect upon how it is discursively materialized what some authors have been referring to as cyber militancy, which leads to claims, to protests, by nullifying the so-called dominant discourses and producing a different one about/by women and their sisterhood relationships
